The Independent Garage Association (IGA) has launched RMI Insurance Services, a new, wholly owned insurance broker created exclusively for the automotive sector.
The move aims to give independent garages access to tailored motor trade cover without the need for third-party intermediaries.
Designed specifically around the needs of garages and workshops, RMI Insurance Services provides members with direct access to specialist motor trade insurers.
By partnering with A-rated providers, the service ensures that every policy is aligned with the unique risks and challenges faced by independent businesses operating within the UK aftermarket.
The new broker offers a range of exclusive benefits for IGA members, including policies tailored to the motor trade, independent expert advice not tied to any one insurer, and access to specialist underwriters.
Members will also benefit from enhanced cover limits, exclusive policy features, discounted rates below standard market prices and the assurance of a fully FCA-approved and regulated service.
Stuart James, Chief Executive of the IGA, said the launch represents a significant milestone in the organisation’s mission to support independent garages.
