HELLA announces first-time Top Awards sponsorship to champion future talent and raise funds for Ben

As the entry deadline for the Top Awards draws closer, HELLA UK has confirmed its first-ever sponsorship of the live event, funding the catering to raise vital donations for automotive industry charity, Ben at the November finals.

HELLA is stepping up to support the ongoing development of independent garages, technicians, and apprentices, building on the extensive work it does with colleges and workshops at HELLA Academy in Banbury.

“We are incredibly proud to sponsor the catering at this year’s Top Awards finals,” said Neil Grant, Managing Director at HELLA UK. “Backing the next generation of talent is a core priority for us.

“The apprentices, technicians, and garage owners reaching this stage represent the very best of our industry. Providing a hot meal is a simple way to help them through a demanding day, while also highlighting the vital role Ben plays in strengthening our automotive community.”

In a striking visual nod to the brand colours of both HELLA and Ben, this year’s food will be served from a bright yellow, classic American school bus provided by Yellow Bus Catering.

HELLA is funding the first 250 meals completely free of charge, with donations to Ben strongly encouraged. Attendees can fuel up with a choice of bacon, sausage, or egg baps until 11:00 am, followed by a lunchtime menu featuring classic, cheese, bacon, and veggie/vegan burgers, all served with fries.

Hella Gutmann’s Technical and Training Manager, Steve Fox, will also return to the Top Garage judging panel, bringing his technical expertise and industry insight to this year’s finals.

“I’m pleased to be involved again this year,” said Steve. “The Top Awards continues to raise standards across the aftermarket, and that aligns closely with our focus on technical capability and workshop performance.”

Marking the ultimate stage of a series widely regarded as ‘the one to win’, the Top Awards continues to set the benchmark for excellence, recognising achievement across Top Apprentice, Top Technician and Top Garage.

The 2026 finals will take place on Saturday 14 November, where finalists will face a series of demanding practical and business-focused challenges.

As part of its involvement, HELLA will provide a complimentary breakfast for competitors, judges and visitors, while also raising awareness and donations for Ben, the industry’s dedicated health and wellbeing charity.

Entries for the Top Awards close on 12 June. For more information, visit: https://aftermarketonline.net/toptechnician-topgarage/.
