TyreSafe marks 20 years of Road Safety Success at annual briefing

TyreSafe dinner

TyreSafe has celebrated a major milestone this week, gathering over 200 delegates from across the automotive, road safety, enforcement, retail, manufacturing, and government sectors at The Belfry for its 20th Annual Briefing and Awards.

The attendance highlights an increasing commitment from organisations across the sector to unite in a collective effort to reduce road casualties.

A Unified Voice for Road SafetyThroughout the day, attendees heard from industry experts regarding the challenges and opportunities ahead.

A key theme of the event was the necessity for collaboration and a unified voice to support the goals outlined in the Government’s recently published National Road Safety Strategy, the first such strategy issued in 15 years.

TyreSafe Chairman Stuart Lovatt opened the event by praising the industry’s collective efforts.

“This year’s record attendance demonstrates the strength and commitment of the tyre safety and road safety community,” said Stuart. “As we welcome the first National Road Safety Strategy in 15 years, it is more important than ever that organisations across our sector continue to work collaboratively, share expertise and deliver consistent messages that help save lives.”

The briefing concluded with a gala dinner and awards ceremony designed to celebrate outstanding contributions to tyre and road safety.

The awards honoured individuals and organisations whose innovation, partnerships, and public engagement have made a measurable difference in improving safety outcomes for road users nationwide.

Looking ahead, the event served as a rallying point for the industry to maintain momentum as it enters a new era of road safety policy.

As Stuart noted, “The challenges ahead are significant, but together we have the opportunity to make a lasting difference.”
