Following its official UK debut at the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event last month, Hella Gutmann has completed the UK’s first installation of its next-generation CSC-Tool PRO ADAS calibration equipment.
The system is now in operation at the Auto Windscreens’ IMI-approved Training Centre in Chesterfield, where it will be used to deliver advanced ADAS calibration training for its technicians. It forms part of the company’s expansion plans for its network of service centres and its investment in new ADAS technology.
“Securing the UK’s very first Hella Gutmann CSC-Tool PRO marks a significant step forward for us,” said Tony Green, Head of Technical and Training at Auto Windscreens. “The unboxing generated some real excitement and our trainers have already been impressed by how intuitive the new calibration process is.”
Designed for multi-brand workshops, the CSC-Tool PRO replaces conventional calibration boards with a rotatable 86-inch Ultra HD digital display capable of presenting OE-compliant calibration targets across a wide range of vehicle manufacturers, including XXL formats for commercial applications such as Iveco.
Connected directly to the cloud, it automatically retrieves the latest vehicle-specific data and displays the correct calibration targets at the required scale. This includes larger formats used for commercial vehicles as well as selected passenger car applications.
The platform is also designed to control and validate the calibration process through a series of enforced setup conditions. These include precise vehicle positioning and alignment relative to the equipment, which must be satisfied before the procedure can begin.
Once these conditions are met, technicians are guided through a fully structured calibration sequence. Real-time position data is displayed via the integrated touch panel interface, providing step-by-step instructions throughout the process.
“For repairers operating in an increasingly regulated environment, the challenge is no longer simply completing a calibration, but demonstrating that it has been carried out with verifiable accuracy,” said Julian Goulding, Head of Garage Equipment at Hella Gutmann. “The CSC-Tool PRO automatically records each stage of the process, generating a structured report that links the pre-scan, calibration parameters and post-scan into a complete digital record.”
The CSC-Tool PRO integrates with Hella Gutmann’s diagnostic ecosystem, including the mega macs X and the mega macs S 20. For more complex applications and the latest vehicle models, Hella Gutmann’s macsRemote service provides access to remote diagnostic support.
