Top Awards: Semi Finals
Now in its 23rd year, the Top Awards have become the gold standard for recognising talent, skill, and innovation across the UK automotive aftermarket.
Launched in 2002, Top Technician set the benchmark for diagnostic and technical excellence, providing thousands of technicians with the chance to test their abilities, learn from industry experts, and showcase their expertise. Today, the Top Awards have grown into a three-part series:
- Top Technician: Rewarding the very best in technical and diagnostic skill.
- Top Garage: Open to independent operators of all sizes, from solo mobile mechanics to multi-site businesses.
- Top Apprentice: Designed to spotlight the next generation of talent, supporting Level 2 and Level 3 students as they begin their careers.
Each competition begins with online assessments before moving to live, hands-on challenges at Delphi Academy, Warwick, where finalists are tested under pressure by expert judges.
The journey culminates at the prestigious Top Awards Gala Dinner at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Coventry, where winners are crowned in front of their peers.
With prizes worth around £40,000 – including tools, training, and cash – the Top Awards don’t just celebrate winners; they raise standards, inspire continuous development, and shine a spotlight on the professionalism that drives the independent aftermarket forward.
