Completing this year’s Top Awards finalist line-up, the 2025 Top Apprentice contenders have been announced, joining Top Technician and Top Garage in the build-up to finals day at Delphi Academy in Warwick on 15 November.
Having excelled through a series of online assessments, the finalists have earned their place among the UK’s most promising apprentices.
“I’m excited to see these learners put both their academic understanding and practical skills to the test,” said Colin Denton, Chief Executive of the North London Garages Group Training Association and Head Judge for Top Apprentice 2025. “This competition gives apprentices the chance to go head-to-head, showcasing not just what they know, but what they can do in real-world scenarios. It’s a fantastic way to raise the profile of the next generation.”
Open to Level 2 and Level 3 apprentices across the UK, Top Apprentice was created to celebrate technical skill, problem-solving ability, and professional conduct among emerging talent. The competition has already challenged entrants through a series of online rounds.

The finalists will now face a series of live, timed challenges designed to test diagnostic ability, technical knowledge, and professional approach. Each task evaluates not only technical expertise, but also problem-solving process, methodical thinking, and workplace conduct, key attributes for a successful technician.
“Top Apprentice is an exciting new addition to the Top Awards series, created to shine a spotlight on the very best emerging talent in the UK automotive industry,” said Ryan Fuller, Managing Director of the Top Awards. “We congratulate all the apprentices who have reached the finals. This is a tremendous achievement and a well-deserved recognition of their skill, dedication, and potential.”
The 2025 Top Apprentice finals will take place alongside Top Technician and Top Garage at Delphi Academy, Warwick, with winners announced later that evening during the Top Awards dinner at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Coventry. The evening will open with a drinks reception, followed by a three-course dinner and the eagerly anticipated awards presentations.
