Garage Hive, the community-driven garage management system, is next week partnering with Garage Vitals, a specialist supporting independent garages with vehicle software and security insights, to deliver a practical webinar on the UK’s upcoming introduction of Security-related Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Information (SERMI). The session takes place on Thursday, 26 March at 12:00 pm.
SERMI introduces a single digital ‘passport’ from April, allowing garages to access security-related data including immobilisers, key coding, ECU updates, and safety systems, across participating vehicle manufacturers.
“With SERMI being launched for some manufacturers on April 1 and more to follow this year independent garages are face a significant change,” said Mark Webb, Director at Garage Vitals and co-owner of Parkside Garage. “It’s essential that workshops understand not just what’s changing, but how it will affect everyday workflows. This webinar will give practical advice to help garages get ready.”
Mark will share his insights as an experienced garage owner and industry expert, explaining what SERMI means for daily operations.

Ray Dilsons, Managing Director at Garage Hive, will explain how garages can navigate SERMI from a management system perspective, and outline the SERMI software feature being developed by Garage Hive in conjunction with Garage Vitals.
“SERMI is a big shift for independent garages,” said Ray. “This webinar will help workshops understand the changes, prepare effectively, and keep their operations running without disruption.”
