LKQ Euro Car Parts secures RAC supply deal until 2031

LKQ Euro Car Parts has officially extended its partnership with the RAC, securing its position as the primary supplier of batteries and components until at least April 2031

The renewed seven-year agreement ensures that the RAC’s nationwide network of breakdown patrols, mobile mechanics, and its Approved Garages network will continue to have first-line access to LKQ’s vast inventory and logistics infrastructure.

A Decade of ReliabilityThe deal cements a partnership that has already spanned more than ten years.

By choosing LKQ Euro Car Parts as its “tier one” supplier, the RAC is doubling down on a supply chain that has proven its resilience under extreme pressure.

Batteries remain the cornerstone of the contract. As one of the most frequent causes of vehicle breakdowns, the RAC requires a consistent supply of premium OEM-specification parts to keep its members moving.

The strength of this logistics network was put to the ultimate test in January 2026. As Storm Goretti battered the UK with severe weather, LKQ recorded its highest-ever battery sales. The figures are staggering: the distributor sold and delivered more than 50,000 batteries in just four days as demand surged.

For the RAC, this ability to maintain stock levels during extreme weather events is a critical factor in the contract extension.

Kevan Wooden, CEO at LKQ UK & Ireland, said: “This contract extension reflects the strength of a partnership built over more than 10 years, founded on shared values of reliability, quality and putting customers first.

“Our nationwide distribution network means RAC patrols can access the parts they need, when they need them.”

RAC Chief Executive Dave Hobday added:”Continuing our long-standing relationship with LKQ Euro Car Parts ensures our mechanics have reliable access to premium quality batteries and parts through a trusted nationwide supply chain.

“This level of support becomes especially critical during periods of heightened demand, such as severe weather.”
