Skywell Partners with Walkerpack for parts warehousing and UK dealer distribution

Skywell has announced a long-term agreement with Walkerpack, the Northamptonshire-based logistics firm, to handle the warehousing and nationwide distribution of its automotive parts to UK dealers.

The partnership is designed to ensure rapid supply and full logistical support as Skywell scales up its UK presence.

Walkerpack manages 250,000 square feet of storage and logistics facilities from its base on the Brackmills Industrial Estate in Northampton, offering parts storage, testing, assembly and nationwide delivery services.

The company has seen rapid growth in the automotive sector and already works with a number of OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers across the industry.

Steve Tiley, Sales Director at Walkerpack, said: “With their first models now on the road and more innovation clearly on the horizon, it’s a great time to be supporting their journey.

“Backed by experience across multiple industries and a bold vision for the future, we’re looking forward to helping them grow and make a real impact in the automotive space.”

Skywell confirmed that its first batch of parts stock had already arrived in the UK from China earlier this year, timed to support the brand’s initial launch.

More shipments are due over the coming weeks and months. Dealers can already order parts either through a standard cost-sensitive delivery option, or, where a vehicle is off the road, via a faster next-morning delivery service with an extended order cut-off time.

David Clark, Skywell UK General Manager, said he believes Walkerpack is perfectly placed to support the brand’s expected growth. “Walkerpack have organically grown their automotive parts business over the last decade, with their existing partnerships,” he said.

“I am confident that as Skywell upscales its UK operation, with future model lines launching and an increasing vehicle parc, they will be perfectly placed to support our anticipated growth and provide the service our dealer partners and customers will expect.”

He also highlighted plans to integrate Walkerpack’s ordering technology with Skywell’s dealer systems. “Walkerpack also offer a self-developed online ordering portal, which we will look to integrate with the Skywell UK dealer network, to reduce ordering lead times further, and give our dealers greater visibility of order progress, tracking functionality and invoice management.”

The agreement marks a key milestone in Skywell’s UK rollout, cementing a supply chain partnership aimed at keeping parts availability high and downtime for customers low, something the brand sees as essential to building dealer confidence and long-term customer support.
