The Blend 2026 is stepping up its support for speakers, appointing communications expert Tina Parker of Tone Communications to help garage owners share their stories with confidence.
The annual conference for independent garage owners returns to the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on Saturday, 10 October 2026, offering a platform for workshops across the UK and Ireland to share practical insights, real-world experiences, and proven business strategies with peers.
Tina brings more than 15 years of communications experience, working both in the UK and internationally with leading names across the automotive aftermarket and beyond. Her portfolio includes global brands such as Unilever and Save the Children, where she has helped leaders craft impactful messages and engage diverse audiences.
“The Blend is all about helping garage owners share their stories and inspire each other, so being asked to be the Speakers Coach is a real privilege,” said Tina. “I’ll be supporting this year’s speakers through one-to-one sessions and group workshops, helping them shape their stories, build confidence, and get their ideas across in a way that really connects.”

Support sessions will run throughout the summer, with exact dates confirmed in the coming weeks, giving speakers plenty of time to prepare ahead of The Blend, which takes place on Saturday, 10 October 2026.
“There are so many great stories in our community, but not everyone feels confident getting up on stage,” said Ray Dilsons, Event Director at The Blend. “With Tina’s experience and energy, we’re looking forward to another year of speakers who are relatable and ready to share practical tips that garage owners across the UK and Ireland can take straight back to their workshops.”
The Blend has earned a reputation for authentic, peer-led content, with many first-time speakers taking the stage in previous years. The dedicated Speakers Coach programme reinforces the event’s commitment to making the platform open to everyone, from newcomers to seasoned presenters.
Alongside a multi-track conference programme, The Blend will feature a busy exhibition of leading trade suppliers and conclude with its popular evening awards dinner, hosted by behavioural science and marketing expert Rory Sutherland.
Garage owners, managers, and industry professionals with a story to share are encouraged to apply. Whether it’s improving workshop efficiency, strengthening customer relationships, or driving business growth, organisers want to hear from those making a real difference in the sector.
Applications require only a short background summary and topic outline and can be submitted via the online form at: https://www.theblend.events/speakers.
