The Workshop in Alton Expands with acquisition of Keith Gott Land Rover Servicing business

Hampshire-based The Workshop in Alton has taken an important step forward by acquiring the neighbouring Land Rover servicing business, Keith Gott Partners.

This strategic move not only broadens The Workshop in Alton’s service capabilities but also aligns with its ambition to modernise operations through new technology, enhanced online presence, and the creation of apprenticeships aimed at developing local automotive talent.

Founded in 2019 and currently turning over £1.2 million, The Workshop in Alton, trading as Casalee, now combines with the established Keith Gott business to operate across two sites, employing 28 staff.

“Our goal is to honour the Keith Gott name and its 50-year heritage while steering the company into a new era,” said business co-owner Paul Greenwood.

“We’re also exploring retail opportunities with the INEOS team and we are forecasting a turnover of £5m by 2026.”

The combined entity specialises in servicing Land Rover, Range Rover, and the new INEOS Grenadier vehicles, which reflects growing market demand and technical sophistication in the region.

Their new status as an official INEOS Automotive Service Partner has already spurred expansion, with additional technician hires and customers travelling from as far as Northampton to access their expertise.

Paul Greenwood, co-owner of The Workshop in Alton, highlighted the importance of maintaining Keith Gott’s 50-year legacy while guiding the business into a new era. Their partnership with INEOS opens exciting retail opportunities and ambitions to reach a £5 million turnover by 2026.

The acquisition was supported financially through Allica Bank, combining internal investment with short-term financing to seize this time-sensitive chance.
