Valeo Service UK has announced a major upgrade to its product packaging, replacing traditional printed instruction leaflets with digital QR codes.
Now, when opening a Valeo box, vehicle technicians will find a QR code instead of a paper insert. Scanning it takes users directly to a dedicated online platform containing comprehensive, up-to-date support information. These include step-by-step installation guides, key technical bulletins, frequently asked questions, and a growing library of video tutorials for hands-on learning.
“This change is really about making life easier for technicians,” said Andy Swann, Managing Director at Valeo Service UK. “Instead of rummaging around for missing leaflets or wondering if the instructions are up to date, you just scan the code and everything’s there, straight on your phone or tablet.
“It’s quick, it’s clear, and there’s far more detail than we could ever include on paper. Plus, it’s always kept current with the latest vehicle information and guidance.”
The digital portal is available in more than 20 languages and works across all standard mobile devices.
As well as streamlining technical support, the move also represents a step forward in Valeo’s commitment to sustainability. With thousands of printed instruction sheets previously discarded after a single use, switching to digital content significantly reduces paper waste and lowers the environmental impact of packaging across the product range.
This initiative complements Valeo’s broader investment in technician support, including platforms like the Valeo Tech Academy, which offers IMI-certified training modules, and Valeo Tech Assist, where users can access fitting guides and expert advice. Technicians who regularly install Valeo parts can also benefit from the Valeo Specialist Club, earning rewards by scanning product barcodes and redeeming points for workshop essentials.
