Police appeal for information following Liverpool garage fire

Merseyside Police are appealing for information after a fire broke out inside a garage in Liverpool city centre on the evening of Thursday, 9 October.

The incident was reported at approximately 11:50pm on Kitchen Street, where a car was seen on fire inside the premises. Witnesses reported seeing a male wearing a mask leaving the scene on a pedal cycle.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended promptly and extinguished the fire. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

A joint investigation by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and Merseyside Police is now underway to establish the cause of the fire. CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out as part of the investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
