ELTA Automotive has announced the acquisition of Tamworth-based Cooling Components Limited, a move that adds the respected Serck Automotive brand to its growing portfolio and strengthens its position in the critical thermal management sector.
The deal is described as a key milestone in ELTA’s growth strategy, reinforcing its commitment to investing in specialist businesses within the independent aftermarket.
Cooling Components, a near neighbour to ELTA’s Coleshill headquarters, is a well-established specialist in automotive cooling.
The acquisition is seen as a strategic move to capture growth in a category that is becoming increasingly complex due to the rise of hybrid and electric vehicles, where effective temperature control is vital for performance and reliability.

Business as usual for Cooling Components
ELTA has confirmed that Cooling Components will continue to operate from its existing Tamworth warehouse, with all day-to-day operations remaining unchanged.
Paul Baggott, who will remain as Director of Cooling Components to ensure continuity, said: “This acquisition marks a key moment in the next phase of the Serck Automotive brand.
“Cooling Components has built a strong respected business, but to take Serck Automotive to the next level required significant new investment and additional resources.
“Joining the ELTA group gives us exactly that. Access to ELTA’s in-house data, marketing, and operational expertise will deliver immediate benefits and support sustainable long-term growth, while allowing us to retain the specialist focus our customers value.”
