Garage Services Online to support Irish workshops at business growth event

Garage Services Online is showing its support for Irish workshops by joining leading industry figures at the upcoming Garage Business Growth Event on Saturday 2 August at the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa in Cork.

Organised and hosted by Cork-based German vehicle specialist J.P. D’Arcy, the one-day trade event will bring together garage owners, technicians and industry experts to focus on sustainable growth, practical insights and valuable networking opportunities. Attendees will address key challenges facing independent workshops, including financial planning, skills development, customer targeting and long-term business strategy.

Throughout the day, Garage Services Online will offer practical advice on how independent businesses can optimise their online presence to attract customers best suited to their specific services.

“We’re committed to supporting more Irish garages like J.P. D’Arcy by providing practical tools and guidance that help them reach the right customers and improve profitability,” said Jim Lang, Managing Director of Garage Services Online. “A strong online presence is about more than visibility, it’s about connecting with customers who value what your garage does best.”

The Garage Inspector, Andy Savva, will open the event with a session on the financial principles every garage owner needs to understand to build a profitable and resilient business. Tina Drayson of CCM Garages will follow, highlighting the importance of people, processes, and data, and how aligning these elements can boost workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction.

In a technical session, James Dillon from Tech Topics will examine the hidden costs associated with complex jobs and unsuitable customers, encouraging garages to evaluate whether their workload and client base support long-term profitability.

The day will close with Martin Brady, a mental performance coach, discussing mindset and leadership. He will challenge garage owners to reflect on where they want their business to be in one, five or ten years, and consider whether internal doubts or unhelpful self-talk might be hindering their progress.

The event is expected to attract garages from across Ireland, all seeking to sharpen their business strategies and engage with like-minded peers.
