Schaeffler has officially welcomed technicians into its brand-new Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) workshop training facility at its UK headquarters in Hereford, hosting a packed training evening in partnership with local motor factor Ludford Parts Ltd.
Despite a scorching hot July evening, over 40 workshop owners and technicians attended the premiere training event.
Attendees were treated to Schaeffler’s signature hospitality alongside an invaluable deep dive into the manufacturer’s latest product developments, technical updates, and repair procedures across its core range.
The Hereford setup features high-spec Dura workshop cabinetry, an interactive 84-inch digital screen, and a dedicated scissor lift system.
The facility is engineered to accommodate a wide variety of vehicles, ranging from standard passenger cars right through to agricultural machinery and tractors.
Moving forward, the site will serve as a hub for upcoming Schaeffler technical training, business partner events, and content creation for photos and video guides.
Reflecting on the turnout, Alistair Mason, Schaeffler REPXPERT Technical Services Manager, said: “We had a brilliant turnout for our first ever training event in the new workshop, so we tested the capacity and resources to the limit.
“Everybody enjoyed the evening and many commented that it is great to come to a top notch facility and learn some new skills.”
Schaeffler plans to roll out further training sessions and partner events at the Hereford facility over the coming months.
