Valeo delivers 90% transmission coverage for Asian vehicles

Valeo Service UK is helping workshops and distributors meet growing demand for Asian vehicle parts by offering a robust transmission portfolio covering up to 90% of the parc.

In 2024-25, Asian manufacturers accounted for 25% of new passenger-car registrations in Europe, reflecting steady growth of around 3% per year.

For workshops, this structural shift brings new expectations in key areas such as transmission systems, where efficiency, smooth operation, and driving comfort are critical to customer satisfaction.

“With Asian automotive brands continuing to expand their presence on our roads, independent garages increasingly need parts that deliver OE-level performance and durability,” said Andy Swann, Managing Director at Valeo Service UK. “Our range ensures that distributors and garages have access to high-quality transmission solutions for the full spectrum of Asian vehicles.”

As a trusted original equipment supplier for more than a century, Valeo has developed long-standing partnerships with major Asian vehicle manufacturers, including Chery, GWM, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, MG, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota. These collaborations enable Valeo to bring its OE expertise directly into the aftermarket, ensuring technicians can rely on products engineered to the same high standards as those fitted at the factory.

Valeo’s Asian transmission offering spans more than 1,900 part numbers, covering traditional clutch kits, hydraulic-bearing kits, dual mass flywheels (DMFs), FullPACK™ DMFs, and dual dry and dual wet clutch systems. This extensive coverage supports leading, high-volume models seen daily in the workshop, such as the Nissan Qashqai, Toyota RAV4, Corolla and Aygo, Hyundai Tucson, i20 and i30, Suzuki Swift, MG HS, and GWM Hover.

The range also extends to modern automatic transmission technologies, including torque converters, clutch-by-wire systems, dual clutches, flywheels, and actuators, providing workshops with a single partner capable of supporting both conventional and advanced powertrains.
