Valeo expands EV thermal exchanger range with 70+ new references

Valeo Service UK is helping distributors and workshops prepare for the continued growth of electrified vehicles with a major expansion of its Thermal Exchanger product range, introducing more than 70 new references engineered specifically for Hybrid and Electric Vehicle (EV) applications in the first half of 2026.

The latest additions strengthen coverage across critical thermal systems, including high- and low-temperature radiators and condensers, supporting the increasing number of electrified vehicle platforms entering the independent aftermarket.

New applications covered include the Audi E-Tron, BMW 4 Series, Mercedes CLA, EQE and GLA, Opel Grandland, and Volkswagen ID.3, ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7.

“Thermal management is one of the key technologies shaping the future of vehicle repair,” said Andy Swann, Valeo Division General Manager. “With more than 70 years of thermal expertise and a strong original equipment heritage, Valeo is supporting the independent aftermarket with OE-level solutions that give workshops the confidence to maintain the latest generations of electrified vehicles.”

As electrification accelerates, thermal systems have evolved far beyond traditional engine cooling and passenger comfort. Precise control of battery temperature plays a critical role in vehicle range, charging efficiency and battery durability, creating new technical challenges for technicians working on modern hybrid and electric vehicles.

Following this expansion, Valeo’s new energy vehicles (NEV) thermal exchanger range now includes 362 part numbers, with further additions planned to take coverage beyond 500 references by early 2027. This continued investment gives distributors broader application coverage across major European vehicle platforms while helping workshops access the components needed to support the changing vehicle parc.

The portfolio includes advanced technologies such as chillers, critical components for indirect battery cooling, which Valeo was the first supplier to introduce to the independent aftermarket. The range also includes high-voltage heaters, radiators, condensers and intercoolers, supporting applications across battery management, cabin climate and powertrain cooling systems.

To support faster and more accurate identification, all Valeo NEV components will feature a dedicated “NEV parts” logo, visible through TecDoc and Valeo marketing channels. The identification system enables distributors and technicians to quickly recognise electrified vehicle-specific components at the parts counter and during repair.

The expansion supports Valeo’s global RED strategy, built around three key aftermarket priorities: Reman, EV and Dragon. Through its remanufacturing expertise, Valeo continues to support sustainable repair solutions and the circular economy; its EV strategy builds on OE leadership, with Valeo technology fitted to one in three new cars globally; while its Dragon strategy draws on more than 30 years of OE experience in China to deliver a growing aftermarket portfolio.

“Independent garages are facing increasing pressure to adapt as hybrid and electric vehicles become a larger part of the vehicle parc,” said Andy. “Our role is not only to provide the right OE-quality components, but also to give technicians the technical support and training they need to work safely and confidently on these new systems.”

Alongside the product expansion, Valeo is continuing to develop dedicated EV and hybrid thermal management training through its digital support platforms, including Tech@ssist. These resources help technicians understand new high-voltage maintenance procedures and develop the skills required to service the next generation of vehicle technology.
