Chris Allen of Professional Struggler tackles a series of heavy maintenance tasks, including a broken leaf spring replacement and a leaking hydraulic ram cylinder.
Beginning with a rear brake overhaul, Chris addresses an air leak at a pressure relief valve elbow, refits existing wear sensors, and manages a seized caliper before turning his attention to the suspension.
The job escalates when inspecting the rear axle reveals a snapped leaf spring. Using axle stands and jacks to manage the heavy assembly, Chris cleans out corrosion around the centre bolt location and installs the new spring, coating the U-bolts with copper slip during reassembly.
Finally, he removes a leaking hydraulic ram that failed at the top hat section. After unbolting the assembly and disconnecting the hydraulic lines to drain the oil, the damaged component is prepped for repair before Chris turns to a generator with a rust-contaminated fuel filter.
