O’Rileys Autos tests TOPDON VeriDiag X800BT on Vauxhall Combo

Sim from O’Rileys Autos puts the TOPDON VeriDiag X800BT Bluetooth scan tool through its paces, evaluating its diagnostic and service capabilities on a modern Vauxhall Combo.

Initial automatic VIN identification presented a challenge due to the vehicle’s underlying PSA platform. Once manually navigated, the handheld tool successfully decoded the vehicle as a Combo Life and performed a full system health scan.

The diagnostic scan flagged fault code P202 in the engine control unit. Combining this readout with physical inspection, Sim identified soot accumulation at the exhaust tip, confirming internal DPF failure.

The test also demonstrated the unit’s active component testing features, successfully cycling the low-speed windscreen wipers through the BSI module, alongside its broad array of service reset functions.
