REPXPERT Conference delegates raise four thousand pounds for automotive charity Ben

Schaeffler REPXPERT Conference

A combination of delegate fees and on-the-day fundraising by workshop professionals has delivered a significant financial boost to the industry’s dedicated support charity.

Schaeffler’s second REPXPERT Conference has raised £4,000 for Ben, the automotive industry charity. The funds were formally handed over to Ben’s Head of Event Partnerships, Ellen Plumer, during the TechFest event at Wembley.

The conference, which brought together more than 300 workshop owners, technicians, and aftermarket professionals at the British Motor Museum in Warwickshire, blended technical breakout sessions and product training with a concerted fundraising drive for the trade’s charity partner.

Of the £4,000 total, more than £1,500 was raised directly on the day through merchandise sales and donations from attendees on the exhibition floor. The remaining sum was generated through delegate registration fees committed by Schaeffler.

Jeff Earl, Marketing Communications Manager at Schaeffler, highlighted the importance of connecting frontline technicians with the charity: “Ben is our industry’s charity and they have done so much fantastic work for the aftermarket that we were pleased to be able to raise so much money for them, while also introducing their services to technicians who may not have been aware of the support available to them prior to the REPXPERT Conference.”

Ben provides free, confidential health and wellbeing support tailored specifically for automotive workers and their families, covering mental health, physical wellbeing, and emergency financial support.
