HELLA has expanded its UK aftermarket filtration programme with the introduction of 184 new Hengst filter references, giving independent workshops broader access to OE-quality replacement parts for an increasingly diverse vehicle parc.
The latest update adds new applications for electric and hybrid vehicles, while strengthening HELLA’s cabin filtration offering with premium activated carbon and Blue.care+ filters.
“Garages need access to components that support every type of drivetrain,” said Ian Mattacola, HELLA Product and Brand Manager for filtration. “This latest expansion helps workshops confidently service everything from conventional petrol and diesel vehicles through to the latest electric models, while also providing opportunities to improve customer comfort and wellbeing through advanced cabin filtration.”
The new references include coverage for a growing number of EV and hybrid applications, with Hengst filters now available for models including the BYD Dolphin EV, ATTO 3 EV, SEAL EV, HAN EV and TANG, alongside hybrid models such as the Honda Civic XI 2.0 e:HEV and ZR-V e:HEV.
Designed to deliver fit-first-time performance, the expanded programme provides technicians with filtration parts manufactured to OE standards, helping reduce the risk of repeat repairs and supporting efficient workshop operation.
Vehicle occupants can be exposed to up to five times more airborne pollution than pedestrians, making effective cabin filtration an important consideration for passenger comfort and interior air quality.
The new range includes 10 activated carbon cabin filters together with five premium Blue.care+ filters.
Blue.care+ features a three-layer construction combining a biofunctional and antiviral layer, an activated carbon layer and an ultrafine filter layer. This design helps filter nitrogen oxides, viruses and allergens, while reducing fine dust entering the passenger compartment and providing resistance to mould, bacteria and viruses.
“Cabin air filters are often overlooked during routine servicing, despite their important role in maintaining interior air quality,” said Ian. “By recommending replacement at the correct intervals and offering the right filtration solution for each application, workshops can provide additional value for customers while creating further service opportunities.”
HELLA recommends replacing cabin air filters annually or every 10,000 miles to help maintain effective ventilation performance and a clean cabin environment.
