Members of The Blend community have once again demonstrated their resilience and solidarity, successfully completing the postponed Blend Charity Hike to Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), raising vital funds for Ben.
Originally scheduled for October 2025, The Blend Hike was postponed after Storm Amy brought heavy rain, gale-force winds and thick fog, forcing organisers to prioritise participant safety.
“Despite the postponement, the community continued their fundraising efforts on the original scheduled hike date, taking part in local walks, runs and challenges, with a commitment to take on Snowdon at a later date,” said Alex Lindley, Director at Garage Hive. “That promise has now been fulfilled.”
On Friday, 1 May, members of The Blend community came together to complete The Blend Charity Hike, tackling the 13km ascent of Snowdon via the steep and rocky Pyg Track before descending the Miners’ Path, reaching the 1,085m summit.

“The hike was tough, with steep climbs and rocky paths, but it is nothing compared to the challenges some in our industry are facing,” added Alex. “We walked for them, because supporting each other is what this community has always been about.”
The funds raised from The Blend Charity Hike now exceed £8,300 and will help fund vital support to automotive people and their families facing mental health challenges, financial hardship and serious illness. The charity offers financial assistance, wellbeing support and practical help to those working across the automotive sector during times of need.
With the dust still settling on Snowdon, the community is already looking ahead. The next challenge has been confirmed, with the 2027 Blend Charity Hike set to take place on Helvellyn on 26th June 2027, promising another demanding hike.
