Schaeffler has announced plans to expand the features and functionality of its REPXPERT workshop portal, appointing Kian Patel as its new Platform Business Development Specialist for the UK.
The REPXPERT platform, which has supplied independent workshops with technical and installation information for more than a decade, is set to receive additional services, data integrations, and member benefits under the leadership change.
Patel brings three years of direct experience with the portal’s ecosystem, having managed the REPXPERT Bonus Shop as part of his previous role as Marketing Executive.
In his new position, he takes full responsibility for the entire UK platform, tasked with introducing new value-added content, enhanced functionality, and commercial opportunities for registered users.
Kian said: “Thousands of workshops are using the REPXPERT platform daily, and it is my job to ensure they continue to have access to everything they need to install Schaeffler products professionally and safely.
“With the automotive landscape evolving at pace, and the future of mobility becoming more electrified, it’s vitally important to keep independent workshops updated with the latest products, tools and training to help them stay ahead of the game.”
The planned upgrades will focus heavily on workshop utility, expanding beyond Schaeffler’s proprietary repair manuals and component guides.
“We are looking into adding lots of valuable new content, such as access to third-party workshop solutions and data providers, as well as introducing some fantastic new brands and products to the Bonus Shop,” Kian added.
Technicians are also being reminded to make full use of the platform’s OneCode labelling system to access technical guidance at the ramp.
“Members just need to remember to scan the OneCode found on every Schaeffler product box to get instant free access to product and installation information, as well as collect points to spend in the Bonus Shop,” Kian said.
